We were recently notified that a Medford Food Co-op staff member tested positive for COVID-19. This individual’s last shift at the Co-op was August 13th. We want to assure you that we are following all recommended guidelines from the local health department, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We have notified all staff members and have asked all staff to closely monitor their health, take the necessary precautions, and stay home if they are experiencing symptoms. Any staff members that worked in close contact have been asked to quarantine as per the OHA and CDC guidelines, to ensure the health and safety of other staff members and our community.
Due to the small size of the MFC staff, and several being in quarantine, we will need to shorten store hours for approximately one week. As of Monday, August 16th, the Co-op will be open from 8am to 7pm daily. The Café will continue to be open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and food safety standards, and we are taking multiple steps to best serve you, care for our staff, and be a responsible member of our community. Since spring 2020, we have been practicing rigorous cleaning protocols throughout the store and Café, including more frequent cleanings of high-touch areas.
The staff anniversary party scheduled for the evening of Sunday, August 15th has been cancelled, but the store will still close early at 5pm. Thank you for your ongoing support!
