Joshua Letsinger
Joshua recently moved to Medford to fill the role of Community Engagement Manager for Jackson County Library Services (JCLS). Joshua spent most of his youth in Idaho cultivating a love for the outdoors and understanding its impact on communities. After graduating from the University of Utah and working as a Clinical Researcher, Joshua decided it was best to leave everything and travel through the Pacific Northwest while searching for a job in the craft beer industry. Irony or coincidence brought him back to Boise where he found his first opportunity at a local brewery. From there, Joshua’s path led toward the Marketing Director of a community-owned brewery in Boise whose business model was built similarly to a food co-op. This enlightening experience set a new course for his career, focusing on community building. After receiving an MBA from Boise State University, Joshua was recruited by JCLS and immediately fell in love with the people and landscape of Southern Oregon.
Community building is at the core of who Joshua is. As a board member, he would love the opportunity to see the Medford Food Co-op flourish as an institutional part of this community. Joshua was a member of the local Co-op in Boise and became a member of MFC upon moving here because of its role as a hub for healthy living. Connection is a driver of well-being and he hopes to further MFC's mission to cultivate a thriving local food economy, and a vibrant, inclusive community.
