Latino/a/x Heritage Month Fundraiser

The Café is offering our annual Latino/a/x Heritage Month Special in support of local farm workers and immigrants!

Our Quesadilla Comunitaria (Community Quesadilla) features organic chicken, black beans, corn, red onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño with organic pepper jack cheese in your choice of two corn tortillas or a spinach flour tortilla. Served with our housemade salsa. Vegan and vegetarian options available.

For every Quesadilla Comunitaria sold during Latino/a/x Heritage Month, MFC is donating $5 to NOWIA Unete, Center for Farm Worker Advocacy.

Please note: the Café is open Monday – Friday from 8am to 6pm and for Sunday Brunch from 9am to 3pm. Latino/a/x Heritage Month is celebrated Sept 15 – Oct 15 each year.

Funds raised will help feed local farm workers over the winter! Agricultural workers tend to be some of the lowest paid workers in the U.S. so the people that feed us struggle to feed their own families. On top of low wages, farm workers labor in harsh and sometimes hazardous conditions. Workers in the Rogue Valley are currently busy with harvest season, and working long hours regardless of heat or smoke or possible exposure to herbicides and pesticides. As the local agricultural harvests come to a close in November, work opportunities dwindle and these essential workers need community assistance to help cover the gaps. Donations and fundraisers help Unete ensure local farm workers and their families are fed throughout the winter.
