SoHumane

Volunteer snuggling a puppy in their arms.

Round up in August to help improve the lives of local pets and people! SoHumane improves the lives of pets and people through sustainable programs of education, spay/neuter, and adoption.

Southern Oregon Humane Society (SoHumane) offers adoption services that include spay/neutering, vaccination, and microchipping. They also help relieve local shelters from overcrowding and welcome the harder-to-adopt animals, like seniors and special needs animals, giving them all the treatment and time they need to find a forever home. In March of 2020, they started a pet food pantry program, offering a "drive-through" with free pet food for any community members and pets in need.

Positive Change funds will be used to support the foster program and purchase supplies like kitten milk replacement (KMR), bottles, wet kitten food, heating pads, snuggle safe disks, portable foldable playpens, scales, pet milk feed bowls, nipples, stainless steel pans. Fostering reduces stress and helps keep the dogs and cats comfortable and happy while waiting for their forever home. Animals are fostered when they are too young to be adopted, not be healthy enough to be adopted or recovering from medical care, pregnant or nursing, when they need help with socializing, or need a break from the kennel environment.
