WinterSpring is a grief support and education program dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults navigate the challenges of loss. Founded in 1989, the program provides a safe, compassionate space where individuals can process their grief with the guidance of trained volunteers. WinterSpring offers grief support groups, peer support, and education tailored to the unique needs of participants, empowering them to heal, build resilience, and honor their experiences. Now part of La Clinica’s education, training, and wellness division, WinterSpring continues to expand its reach, bringing hope and healing to Southern Oregon’s grieving community.
Funds will be used to purchase program supplies for their youth grief support programs. This includes journals and books designed to help children and teens navigate the grieving process, providing them with valuable tools for self-expression, emotional healing, and resilience-building. These resources will enhance the program’s impact by offering meaningful support to participants as they process their loss.

WinterSpring was founded in 1989 by four nurses in response to the unmet needs of those grieving in Jackson County. The program was created to offer a safe and supportive environment where children, teens, and adults could process their grief with the guidance of compassionate, trained volunteers. In 2022, WinterSpring’s grief support and education programs became part of La Clinica’s education, training, and wellness division, expanding its reach and deepening its impact on the community.
