The Positive Change program raises money for local non-profit organizations working to better our community. We believe in the power of change and the power of community – Positive Change combines these two beliefs into one powerful program. The Positive Change program is one of the many ways the Co-op fulfills the seventh cooperative principle: Concern for Community.
Next time you check out, say “I’d like to round-up for Positive Change,” and we’ll round-up the total of your purchase to the nearest dollar, or you can donate any desired amount. Each month, the selected non-profit organization receives 100% of the donated funds, plus an additional $500 grant from the Co-op. In celebration of National Co-op Month, MFC reserves the month of October each year to fundraise for a program, fund, or organization to be determined at the discretion of MFC's Outreach Committee. Annually, the Board of Directors selects one Positive Change recipient to receive an additional grant from our Cooperative Community Fund. Thank you for contributing to positive change and making a difference in our community!
La Clinica’s WinterSpring Program
Help WinterSpring provide grief support to children and teens to help them heal, build resilience, and navigate their loss.
La Clinica’s mission is to serve the people who need them most through exceptional, affordable, and compassionate care, inspiring all those they touch to lead full and healthy lives. Their vision is absolute excellence, open-hearted community, and well-being for all.
WinterSpring is a grief support and education program dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults navigate the challenges of loss. Founded in 1989, the program provides a safe, compassionate space where individuals can process their grief with the guidance of trained volunteers. WinterSpring offers grief support groups, peer support, and education tailored to the unique needs of participants, empowering them to heal, build resilience, and honor their experiences. Now part of La Clinica’s education, training, and wellness division, WinterSpring continues to expand its reach, bringing hope and healing to Southern Oregon’s grieving community.
Funds will be used to purchase program supplies for their youth grief support programs. This includes journals and books designed to help children and teens navigate the grieving process, providing them with valuable tools for self-expression, emotional healing, and resilience-building. These resources will enhance the program’s impact by offering meaningful support to participants as they process their loss.
Since 1988, La Clinica has been dedicated to providing exceptional, affordable, and compassionate health and wellness services to Southern Oregon’s most underserved residents. Their mission is to serve those who need them most, inspiring every individual they touch to lead full and healthy lives.
WinterSpring was founded in 1989 by four nurses in response to the unmet needs of those grieving in Jackson County. The program was created to offer a safe and supportive environment where children, teens, and adults could process their grief with the guidance of compassionate, trained volunteers. In 2022, WinterSpring’s grief support and education programs became part of La Clinica’s education, training, and wellness division, expanding its reach and deepening its impact on the community.
