2027 Application
Interested organizations can apply to be considered for the Positive Change program using the form below.
Please note: recipient organizations are only eligible for the program every other year. For example, recipients of Positive Change fundraising in 2025 were not eligible to apply for the 2026 program, but are welcome and encouraged to apply for the 2027 program.
We give priority to organizations that:
Are registered non-profit organizations (public charities or other non-private foundations)
Use funding for work related to food, food related issues, or community health concerns
Are based in the communities served by Medford Food Co-op
Reflect the ethnic and racial diversity of our communities
Are nonpartisan and are not affiliated with a particular religion
Use funding for a specific project (instead of general operation costs)
We do not accept applications from private non-operating foundations, including conduit foundations. Positive Change funds cannot be passed through to other non-profit organizations or individuals.
All Positive Change applications are vetted by our Outreach Committee. Approved applications are then voted on internally by our fundraising staff, and the top organizations democratically selected by staff are passed on to our owners for a final vote in the annual election. On the annual ballot, owners select eleven organizations to be recipients of the Positive Change program the following calendar year. In celebration of National Co-op Month, MFC reserves the month of October each year to fundraise for a program, fund, or organization to be determined at the discretion of MFC's Outreach Committee. At the Co-op’s discretion, the recipient calendar may be preempted to raise emergency or disaster relief funds.
2027 applications are due January 31, 2026.
