Help ACCESS create a stronger community where everyone can thrive!
Through partnerships and service, ACCESS provides food, warmth, and shelter to promote stability for vulnerable populations. ACCESS is Jackson County's Community Action Agency. They provide essential services to improve the lives of individuals and families in need. Through innovative programs and trauma-informed outreach, ACCESS addresses food insecurity, housing instability, energy assistance, medical equipment loans, and more. Their mission is to ensure food, warmth, and shelter for all, fostering a resilient and supportive community.
ACCESS runs the local food bank, distributing over 4.5 million pounds of food annually through 30 food pantries and mobile markets. In addition to addressing food security, they offer programs focused on housing assistance, including homeless prevention, rapid rehousing, and affordable housing initiatives, to help ensure stability for low-income families and individuals.
Energy assistance is another critical service they provide, supporting over 6,200 households annually with utility bill support and home weatherization services. These efforts help families reduce energy costs and improve home efficiency. ACCESS also works to enhance community health by connecting vulnerable populations with vital resources and educational opportunities to improve access to essential services
ACCESS remains committed to addressing the root causes of poverty and creating pathways to self-sufficiency, while building a compassionate, equitable, and thriving community.
Funds will be used to support underfunded programs. These include the Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program, which refurbishes and redistributes essential medical equipment, saving the community an average of over $1.5 million in medical expenses annually, and the Rogue Powerpack Program, which provides weekend meals to schoolchildren who rely on free and reduced lunches during the week.
