Support the next generation of regenerative farmers and ranchers and help build an equitable and sustainable farming future for Oregon!
Rogue Farm Corps trains and equips the next generation of farmers and ranchers through hands-on educational programs and the preservation of Oregon’s farmland. Rogue Farm Corps is building a world in which land is deeply cared for, power is equitably shared, and farms, ranches, and the people who work them flourish.
Rogue Farm Corps has been honing our expertise to support the success of emerging farmers and ranchers for 20 years, providing exceptional on-the-job climate-resilient farmer training and investing early in the viability of small farm businesses to create lasting impact for a more equitable and sustainable food system in Oregon. The quality of their programs and staff has led to RFC being recognized as a national leader in beginning farmer and rancher education that focuses on experiential paid on-farm apprenticeships, one-on-one mentorship, and regenerative agriculture practices that protect soil, water, and biodiversity. They continue to innovate and blaze a path forward by expanding into business skills development, land access support, advocacy training, and projects that advance equity and justice in agriculture. They are proud that since 2004, 36 new farms have been established with roots in RFC’s programming, 67% of their program participants are continuing to work in agriculture, and an additional 20% report that they plan to work in agriculture in the future.
Funds will be used to support the Beginning Farmer Training program. RFC’s Farmer Training Programs train and equip aspiring and beginning farmers from all backgrounds with the hands-on experience, knowledge, skills, and relationships they need to obtain successful and sustainable careers in agriculture. The Farmer Training Programs include the Apprenticeship Program, the Beginning Farmer Educational Event Series, and the Regenerative Farming Fellowship.
