Community Art Wall

The Community Art Wall offers local artists a space to share their work with the community while simultaneously giving back to local non-profit organizations. The Art Wall is located inside the Café at Medford Food Co-op and features a rotating selection of work from local artists. Exhibits change every three months.

Community Art Wall Guidelines

  • To maintain our safe and welcoming environment, all art must be non-discriminatory, non-graphic/explicit in content, and appropriate for all ages.

  • Art must fill most of the Community Art Wall. The Community Art Wall space is the wall at the end of the dining area with the angled ceiling and rail system used to hang the work.

  • It is the responsibility of the artist to hang and take down the exhibit.

  • All art must be displayed using the art rail system. No nails, tacks, or other materials maby be used which will puncture the wall or remove the paint. The artist is responsible for repairing any damage to the wall due to set up or removal of their exhibit.

  • All artwork labels must be provided by the artist. Labels must be displayed on the image/frame itself or on the wall with a fully removable mounting putty safe for damage-free use on painted surfaces.

  • The artist accepts full responsibility for any loss or damage to the artwork. The artist waives any and all claims against Medford Food Co-op for personal injury during set up or removal of the exhibit.

  • Medford Food Co-op (MFC) will tender the transaction for any sale of artwork during the exhibition period. MFC will take 20% commission on all sales, to be donated to a local charity or non-profit organization. The recipient organization will be determined in advance by the MFC Outreach Committee and agreed upon by the artist. If artwork is sold while on display, it must remain up until the end of the show or be replaced.

  • Please provide an exhibit title, a brief artist statement, a list of artwork titles, descriptions and prices (if for sale), and high-resolution photos of your art. Also include artist contact information. This information will be displayed with the exhibit and used on our website and any marketing materials. Please submit all publicity information electronically to the Marketing Manager at marketing@medfordfood.coop by the first of the month prior to your exhibit.

  • Any outside advertising of the exhibit is the responsibility of the artist. All literature and posters used to promote your exhibit must be pre-approved by the Marketing Manager.
